Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.

“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”

Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.

Amity Hearing to Address

Cluster-Home Developments

A public hearing focused on proposed cluster-home developments in Amity Township is scheduled for May 6 at 6 p.m., drawing attention from residents interested in future development decisions in the community.

The hearing will address potential changes related to cluster-home development proposals and their impact on land use and township planning. Organizers encouraging community involvement say the discussion is an important opportunity for residents to stay informed and engaged in local decision-making.

Although the meeting will not be officially livestreamed by the township, a separate live broadcast will be provided online to allow additional residents to follow the proceedings remotely. You can find the Live Feed Here: FRIESFORAMITY.COM/LIVE

New Scoreboard Coming to

Blazer Midget Football & Cheer

(Sponsored by Halter Landscaping)

Blazer Midget Football & Cheerleading has announced the addition of a new scoreboard, made possible through the support of Halter Landscaping and a collaborative community effort.

Organization leaders said the project represents more than just a new piece of equipment — it symbolizes continued growth, pride and investment in local youth athletics. Supporters credited community members and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to help turn the vision into reality.

The new scoreboard is expected to enhance the game-day experience for athletes, families and fans, while serving as a lasting addition to the football and cheer program.

Officials expressed gratitude to Halter Landscaping for its commitment to supporting young athletes and strengthening the local community through its sponsorship.

Ecology Club Brings Hands-On

Learning to Kindergarteners

Students from the Daniel Boone High School Ecology Club recently spent the day at the district’s Primary Center for a special Kinder-garden Day, combining outdoor learning with hands-on activities.

During the event, Ecology Club members guided kindergarten students through stations focused on healthy eating, the importance of bees and the life cycle of plants. The experience also gave younger students the chance to work directly in the garden, planting and taking home their own plants to continue growing.

School officials said the day highlighted both environmental education and mentorship, giving students of different age groups an opportunity to learn and grow together.

Tiki Bar Launches New Wing Night

The Tiki Bar is turning up the flavor with the launch of its new Wing Night, giving customers a chance to enjoy house-made sauces and grilled favorites.

Wings are available for $14 per dozen, with guests able to choose between wings tossed in the bar’s homemade sauces or prepared fresh on the grill. Organizers say the new offering highlights some of the kitchen’s most popular menu items.

The bar is inviting the community to stop by and experience the new weekly special for themselves.
