Boone Students Take the Stage

for Spring Concert Series

The Daniel Boone Area School District is inviting the community to attend its annual Spring Concert Series, showcasing student musicians from the Intermediate Center, Middle School and High School.

The series runs throughout April and May, featuring a variety of performances that highlight students’ musical growth, dedication and talent across grade levels.

Scheduled performances include:

  • April 30: High School Instrumental Concert – 7 p.m.

  • May 6: High School Pops Concert – 7 p.m.

  • May 7: Intermediate Center 4th Grade Concert

  • May 11: Middle School 5th & 6th Grade Choral (6 p.m.) and Instrumental (7 p.m.)

  • May 13: Middle School 5th & 6th Grade Instrumental & Jazz Band – 7 p.m.

  • May 14: High School Choral Concert – 7 p.m.

  • May 20: Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Instrumental & Jazz Band – 7 p.m.

  • May 21: Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Choral & Select Chorus – 7 p.m.

Organizers say the concert series is a chance for the community to celebrate the arts and support student performers.

Smoothie Q Launches

New Deals in Douglassville

Smoothie Q in Douglassville is introducing new offerings and promotions aimed at bringing more value to customers.

Located at 955 Benjamin Franklin Highway West, the shop now features a loyalty program, along with a variety of menu options including fresh smoothies, acai bowls and Jamaican patties.

A weekly promotion is also available for families, with kids receiving a free small smoothie on Tuesdays when a parent purchases a large smoothie. Additionally, first-time guests can take advantage of a discount on their initial visit.

Owners say the updates are part of an effort to enhance the customer experience while continuing to offer fresh, flavorful options.

Star Wars Specials Return

to J.J. Ratigan Brewing

J.J. Ratigan Brewing Company is inviting Star Wars fans to celebrate with themed food and drink specials this Monday.

Beginning at 4 p.m., the brewery will offer a variety of unique menu items, including the return of frog legs, a popular favorite from past events. Guests can also enjoy specialty drinks such as the Imperial Manhattan, along with additional themed offerings.

Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early, as featured items are expected to be in high demand.
