Cooper Robison Rewrites Boone

Volleyball Record Books

A Daniel Boone High School volleyball player has made history on the court, setting a new program record.

Junior outside hitter Cooper Robison became the school’s all-time leader in career kills, finishing with 743, surpassing the previous record of 738 set in 2017. The milestone was reached during Boone’s 3-0 victory over Reading on April 30, where Robison delivered a 12-kill performance.

The achievement highlights Robison’s consistency, skill and impact on the program, marking a significant moment for both the athlete and the team.

Berks to Host First-Ever Bounce House Festival

Berks County is set to host its first-ever Bounce House Festival, bringing a day of family-friendly fun to the area.

The event, titled Bounce Fest Berks, will take place on Saturday, May 2 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Jim Dietrich Park in Reading. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere centered around inflatable attractions and entertainment.

Organizers are also seeking food trucks and craft or artisan vendors to participate, aiming to create a well-rounded festival experience for visitors.

American Legion Offers Free

1st Year Membership to Veterans

The American Legion Post 626 in Birdsboro is inviting local veterans and active-duty service members to join its ranks as part of Military Appreciation Month.

Located at 445 E. Main Street, the post is offering a free first year of membership for those interested in becoming part of the organization. Leaders say joining the American Legion provides an opportunity to build camaraderie, continue service to the community and connect with fellow veterans.
