Support Boone Baseball
Through Weeklong Fundraiser

The Daniel Boone Sports Boosters have announced a change to an upcoming Daniel Boone Baseball fundraiser.
The Rita’s fundraiser originally scheduled for April 30 has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts with both junior varsity and varsity games. A new date for the event will be announced at a later time.
In the meantime, supporters can still contribute by participating in an ongoing Chick-fil-A fundraiser, which runs throughout the week. Customers are encouraged to mention Daniel Boone when making a purchase to ensure proceeds benefit the program.
Birdsboro-Union EMS Teams
Train on New Protocols

The Birdsboro-Union Fire Department (Station 7) is continuing to enhance its emergency medical services, with 28 certified EMS personnel actively training to better serve the community.
With the introduction of new statewide protocols, qualified responders are now able to administer a wider range of life-saving treatments, including epinephrine, albuterol nebulizers, Narcan, glucose monitoring and hemostatic agents.
Department officials noted that additional training sessions are being scheduled to ensure all personnel are up to date on the latest procedures, reinforcing their commitment to preparedness and high-quality emergency care.

A Line Dancing Night is set to take place at Island’s, offering an evening of music and fun on the patio.
The event will be held on May 2 from 9 p.m. to midnight, featuring instruction and entertainment led by Boot Scootin’ Becky. Guests can enjoy a lively atmosphere while learning dance steps and taking part in the group experience.

Amity Fire Crews Train with New Ladder Truck

Amity Fire and Rescue crews are continuing hands-on training with their recently acquired Ladder 49, focusing on building familiarity and operational readiness.

Firefighters spent time working with the ladder truck at local commercial properties, including areas near Pine Forge Road and Route 662, using the opportunity to practice response strategies and preplan for potential emergencies.

Officials say ongoing training is essential to ensure crews are fully prepared to operate the equipment effectively and safely within the community.
