Bell Dominates on the Mound and at the Plate as Blazers Cruise Past Twin Valley 9-1
The Division 2 Champions Daniel Boone Blazers looked every bit the part on Monday afternoon, rolling past the Twin Valley Raiders 9-1 in conference play behind a dominant two-way performance from sophomore Greyson Bell, who struck out 11 over 5.2 innings of one-hit ball while adding two hits and two RBIs at the plate.
The Blazers set the tone immediately, hanging four runs on the board in the bottom of the first and never letting up. Daniel Boone tacked on single runs in the second, fourth, and sixth, plus two more in the fifth, finishing with 12 hits as a team and a .414 team batting average.
Senior Chase Yenser led the offensive charge with a 3-for-4 night, including a double and two RBIs. Maddox Roy chipped in two hits and an RBI, while Greyson Bell, Josh Banas, and Ian Jacob each drove in a pair to round out a balanced attack.
Bell's outing on the mound was overpowering. He allowed just a single hit, walked two, and surrendered one unearned run while racking up 11 strikeouts on 100 pitches. Fellow sophomore Aidan Howells slammed the door shut, working 1.1 hitless innings with two more punchouts to finish off the 13-strikeout team performance.
Twin Valley's lone run came in the top of the sixth on one hit and three errors of their own. The Blazers move on with another conference win in the books.
Boone Schools Host 5th Grade Info Night

The Daniel Boone Area School District is inviting families of current fourth-grade students to attend an upcoming 5th Grade Transition Information Night.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium. Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to learn about expectations for the upcoming school year, meet staff and ask questions as students prepare to move into fifth grade for the 2026–2027 school year.
School officials say the session is designed to help families feel informed and supported during this important transition.
Boone Football Clinics Set for May

The Daniel Boone Blazer Football Organization is kicking off preparations for the upcoming season with a series of football clinics this May.
The clinics will be held on Saturday, May 2 and Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Amity Community Park in Douglassville, near the lower pavilion by the middle school.
Open to players entering grades 2 through 7, the sessions will focus on developing fundamental skills such as blocking, tackling, agility and overall game awareness. Participation is open to all athletes, and registration is not required to attend.
Organizers say the clinics are designed not only to build skills, but also to promote teamwork, safety and a love of the game, while giving players a chance to connect ahead of the season. Families are encouraged to have athletes bring water, cleats and athletic attire, with mouthguards recommended.
The organization is also seeking volunteer coaches to support the program.
Third Graders Step Up for Local Cleanup Effort

Students from Mrs. Hillman’s third-grade class in the Daniel Boone Area School District are being recognized for their community involvement after participating in a recent Beautify Birdsboro event.
Members of the class’s “Kindness Squad” volunteered at Vest Pocket Park, where they helped clean up the area by clearing leaves and picking up trash. Their efforts contributed to improving a local green space while demonstrating teamwork and civic responsibility.
School officials praised the students for their commitment to kindness, cooperation and community pride, highlighting their actions as a positive example for others.
