Amity Pool Seeks Volunteers
for Summer Events
The Amity AC Pool is calling on the community for volunteers to help bring back a full lineup of summer events and activities.
As a volunteer-run organization, the pool is seeking individuals interested in helping plan and coordinate events such as game days, movie nights, teen nights and other family-friendly activities.
Organizers say community involvement is key to creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for members throughout the summer season.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to reach out via email or social media to get involved.
Outdoor Market Event Planned in Boyertown
Laurel Mountain Ministries is inviting vendors and families to take part in an upcoming outdoor flea market event in the Boyertown area.
Vendor spaces are available for a $20 donation per spot, with participants asked to bring their own tables, chairs and optional canopies. Setup begins early, with vendors required to arrive by 7 a.m. for check-in and space assignment.
The event will take place outdoors, with indoor restrooms available for convenience. In case of inclement weather, a rain date of May 9 has been scheduled, and vendor spots will automatically transfer.
Organizers encourage interested participants to reserve a space and join the community for a day of shopping and connection.
Comedian Learnmore Jonasi
returns to SoulJoel’s
Comedian Learnmore Jonasi is set to return to SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook in Pottstown for a night of stand-up on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $20 for general admission and $30 for preferred seating in the closest section to the stage. The venue, located at 50 Sunnybrook Road, offers free parking, a full bar, and food available through Gatsby’s Pub.
Jonasi, originally from Zimbabwe, has built an international reputation through performances across more than 20 countries and appearances on major stages and television. His career includes multiple comedy awards and a standout run on a national talent competition, where he reached the finals.
Boone Theatre Society Presents
“Between the Lines”
The Daniel Boone Area High School Theatre Society is preparing to present its spring musical, “Between the Lines,” a story that blends fantasy and reality in a heartfelt coming-of-age journey.
The show follows a young student adjusting to a new town and school, who finds comfort in a favorite book—only to discover that the line between fiction and real life may not be as clear as it seems.
Performances are scheduled for:
Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students, offering the community a chance to support local student talent and enjoy a captivating theatrical experience.
