Boone Baseball Dominates, No-Hitter,

Maddox Roy goes 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs

Daniel Boone’s baseball team delivered a dominant performance Friday, highlighted by a standout outing from Owen Howells.

Howells pitched a six-inning no-hitter, leading the Blazers to a 10-0 victory over Conrad Weiser in a BCIAA matchup. He recorded five strikeouts and two walks, throwing an efficient 75 pitches, including 55 strikes.

Offensively, the Blazers were powered by Maddox Roy, who went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Additional contributions came from Ryan Kriebel, Greyson Bell and Gabe Geisle, each of whom recorded a double and drove in two runs.

With the win, Daniel Boone improves to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in Division 2, while Conrad Weiser falls to 2-10 on the season.

The Daniel Boone Area High School is preparing to take the stage with its annual spring musical, β€œBetween the Lines.”

Performances will be held on:

  • Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m.

  • Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m.

The production showcases the talent and hard work of student performers, bringing a magical and engaging story to life for the community. Order Tickets Here

Boone Library Hosts First

Touch-a-Truck Event

The Boone Area Library is inviting families to its first-ever β€œTouch-a-Truck” event on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Middle School.

The free event offers a hands-on experience where children can explore a variety of vehicles, climb aboard and meet the people who operate them, learning how these vehicles serve the community.

A sensory-friendly period will take place from 10 to 10:30 a.m., during which no sirens or horns will be used, creating a quieter environment for attendees.

The event is open to the public, with free giveaways available while supplies last, and no registration required.
