Why Burned-Out Professionals Are Turning to CBD
Long hours, heavy workloads and frustrating coworkers: job burnout is on the rise. Savvy professionals are turning to CBD and its sister compound, CBG, to manage work stress and burnout without losing focus.
Like CBD, CBG is a non-intoxicating compound found naturally in the hemp plant that is known for helping to manage mild/temporary anxiety. And these benefits are backed by science: participants in a 2022 CBDistillery study who took CBD + CBG reported:
Reduced mild or temporary anxiety and tension
Increased focus and mental clarity
That CBD + CBG was more effective than other treatments they tried in the past
When it comes to quality CBD products, CBDistillery is leading the way. Non-GMO, US-grown hemp, 100% clean ingredients, and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee give you one less thing to stress about.

Blackwood Golf Course
Helps Launch Blazer Initiative

The Blazer Midget Football and Cheerleading program is recognizing the generosity of a local business after receiving a meaningful donation to support its operations.
Blackwood Golf Course, a longtime family-owned business in the Douglassville community, recently donated a golf cart to the organization. Program leaders say the contribution will play an important role in enhancing their activities and supporting athletes.
To honor the donation, the cart has been labeled with the number 28, paying tribute to one of the golf course’s owners.
Organizers noted that this marks the beginning of a larger project, with plans to showcase additional community partnerships that helped transform the cart into something special for the program.
Schuylkill River Trail Connector
Project Now Underway

Construction is now underway on a long-awaited connection along the Schuylkill River Trail in the Pottstown area.
Montgomery County officials began work in late February 2026 on a 0.9-mile trail connector linking the existing trail in Chester County to the Route 422 Bridge pedestrian and bike lane. The project is currently on schedule, with a targeted public opening in October 2026.
Once completed, the connector will close a critical gap in the regional trail system, creating a more continuous route that stretches from Philadelphia to Pottstown.
To protect the area’s designation as a red-bellied cooter turtle nesting habitat, construction is being carefully phased. Restrictions limit certain activities between April 15 and October 15, prompting crews to complete key groundwork, including barrier installation, ahead of that window.
The project is fully funded, owned and maintained by Montgomery County, and is expected to significantly enhance recreational access for cyclists, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the region.
Blazer Nation Yard Flag
Fundraiser Now Underway
The Daniel Boone High School Football program is hosting a “Blazer Nation” yard flag fundraiser, giving community members a chance to show their school spirit while supporting the team.
Flags are available for $20, with orders due by April 10, 2026. Organizers note that yard stakes are not included with the purchase.
Participants can place orders online, with pickup scheduled for April 13 or April 14.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward supporting the high school football program and its activities.
Pottstown GoFourth Festival
Approved for July 4 Return

Plans are set for the return of the Pottstown GoFourth! Festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026, following approval from Borough Council.
As part of the celebration, organizers will host a biergarten in Memorial Park from 3 to 9 p.m., with a rain date scheduled for July 11. The event will also include the annual Independence Day Parade, which will begin in the morning and feature road closures along Bailey Street, Manatawny Street and High Street starting at 10:15 a.m.
The festival will once again offer a full day of activities, including children’s attractions, food and artisan vendors, live entertainment and fireworks.
Organizers have opened vendor applications and are also accepting pre-orders for commemorative flags, encouraging early participation ahead of the summer event.
