Golf Event to Support Local Students
Set for May 2
The Blazer Education Foundation is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Golf Outing, set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Arrowhead Golf Course in Douglassville.
The event will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start, and will conclude with a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. Participants can expect a full day of activities, including raffles, contests, and on-course games, highlighted by a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.
The cost is $475 per foursome, which includes a golf cart, swag bag, beverages and a dinner buffet. For those who do not wish to golf, a dinner-only option is available for $30 per person.
Proceeds from the event will support student scholarships, programs and educational opportunities within the Daniel Boone community. Organizers note that registration is open through April 12 or until all spots are filled.
Pottstown Nights Car Show
Returns for 2026 Season

Pottstown Nights Car Show is set to return for the 2026 season, bringing classic cars, entertainment and community activity back to High Street.
The events will take place on select Saturdays from 3 to 9 p.m., with scheduled dates on May 2, June 6, July 11, August 1 and September 5.
Organizers have opened registration for vendors, sponsors and VIP parking, with discounted VIP season passes available through May 1.
The popular event series is expected to once again feature a mix of vehicles, local vendors and family-friendly activities, drawing visitors to downtown Pottstown throughout the summer.
Monocacy Hill Fundraiser Underway
at Kimberton Whole Foods

The Monocacy Hill Conservation Association is partnering with Kimberton Whole Foods in Douglassville for a month-long fundraiser throughout April.
Shoppers visiting the store will have the option to round up their purchases at checkout, with all donations benefiting the conservation group. Kimberton Whole Foods will also match every dollar donated at the end of the month, increasing the overall impact.
The initiative is part of Kimberton’s ongoing Round Up Program, which supports local nonprofits serving the community.
Organizers encourage residents to take part by shopping locally and contributing to efforts that help preserve and maintain the Monocacy Hill Recreation Area.
Animal Rescue League Hosts
Volunteer Open House April 11

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is inviting community members to get involved during its upcoming Volunteer Open House on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will take place at the shelter’s location on Kennel Road in Birdsboro, offering visitors a chance to tour the facility, meet staff and current volunteers, and learn about available volunteer opportunities.
Attendees will also be able to participate in hands-on enrichment activities for animals, while gaining insight into how they can support the organization’s mission.
As part of admission, guests are asked to bring a bag of soft dog or cat treats, which will be donated to help care for animals at the shelter.
Organizers say the event is a great opportunity for anyone looking to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
