Competes at State Tournament
The Amity AC 6th Grade Boys Travel Basketball Team recently competed in a state tournament at Penn State, capping off a strong season of growth and competition.
The team finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, showcasing determination and teamwork against top competition from across the state.
Coaches and supporters praised the players for their effort and sportsmanship throughout the event, noting the experience as an important opportunity for development both on and off the court.
Organizers also recognized the team’s coaches for their dedication in preparing the players and providing them with the chance to compete at a high level.
Boone Middle School Chorus Performs
at Reading Royals Game
Students from the Daniel Boone Area Middle School Select Chorus recently had the opportunity to perform on a big stage, singing the National Anthem at a Reading Royals hockey game on Friday, March 20.
The chorus delivered a strong performance at the Santander Arena, representing the school and community with pride. Following their performance, students stayed to enjoy the game and cheer on the Royals.
School officials said the event was a memorable experience for the students, highlighting their talent and giving them the chance to perform in a professional sports setting.
Animal Rescue League Hosting Mobile Pet Clinic
The Animal Rescue League of Berks County will host a Mobile Vaccine and Microchip Clinic on Thursday, April 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wyomissing Fire Department, 1259 Penn Avenue.
The clinic offers pet owners an opportunity to provide essential care for their animals, including vaccinations and microchipping services to help keep pets healthy and safe.
Organizers encourage pre-registration, which can be completed online at berksarl.org/vaccineclinic.
The event is open to the community and aims to make preventive care more accessible for local pet owners.
