Why Burned-Out Professionals Are Turning to CBD
Long hours, heavy workloads and frustrating coworkers: job burnout is on the rise. Savvy professionals are turning to CBD and its sister compound, CBG, to manage work stress and burnout without losing focus.
Like CBD, CBG is a non-intoxicating compound found naturally in the hemp plant that is known for helping to manage mild/temporary anxiety. And these benefits are backed by science: participants in a 2022 CBDistillery study who took CBD + CBG reported:
Reduced mild or temporary anxiety and tension
Increased focus and mental clarity
That CBD + CBG was more effective than other treatments they tried in the past
When it comes to quality CBD products, CBDistillery is leading the way. Non-GMO, US-grown hemp, 100% clean ingredients, and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee give you one less thing to stress about.

GoggleWorks Hosts Interactive
Fire Arts Festival

The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading will host its Iron Pour + Fire Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from 3 to 9 p.m., offering an immersive celebration of fire-based art and creativity.
The event will showcase a variety of live demonstrations, including glassblowing, metal casting, blacksmithing and ceramics, giving attendees a chance to see artists at work using intense heat and traditional techniques.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, creating their own fire-inspired art pieces. The festival will feature food, live music and a lively atmosphere throughout the day.
As the evening continues, the GoggleWorks campus will transform into a glowing, fire-lit experience, highlighting the dramatic visual elements of the event after sunset.
Organizers describe the festival as a unique blend of art show, live demonstration and interactive experience, designed to engage and inspire attendees of all ages.
Amity Township Lifts Burn Ban

Amity Township officials have lifted the burn ban that was originally issued on March 11, 2026, following improved conditions.
With the ban no longer in effect, open burning is once again permitted in accordance with Township Ordinance regulations. Residents are reminded to follow all local guidelines when conducting any outdoor burning.
Officials also stress the importance of safety, noting that open fires should never be left unattended.
Additional details on permitted burning can be found through the township’s ordinance.
Blazer Education Foundation
Announces May Donation Drive

The Blazer Education Foundation will host a special donation drive on Saturday, May 16, 2026, beginning at 1 p.m. at Daniel Boone High School (501 Chestnut St., Doors 18/19) in Birdsboro.
The event offers community members an opportunity to donate gently used household items, clothing, toys, furniture and other reusable goods. Collected items will be resold during the foundation’s Annual Flea Market on May 30, 2026.
Proceeds from the flea market directly support Daniel Boone students, funding scholarships, educational programs and additional opportunities not covered by the district budget.
Organizers say community donations play a vital role in helping expand resources and opportunities for local students.
