The Other Farm to Host Dine to
Donate for Boyertown Family

The Other Farm Brewing Company will host a daylong Dine to Donate fundraiser on Thursday, February 26, to support the Antalosky family of Boyertown.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the brewery, located at 128 E. Philadelphia Ave. Community members are invited to stop in for lunch, dinner, drinks, or takeout. A portion of all sales throughout the day will be donated to assist the family during a difficult time.
Danielle Antalosky, a familiar face to many patrons through her work at The Other Farm, and her family are facing significant challenges after their son, Tanner, was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive brain tumor. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help ease financial pressures, allowing the family to focus on caring for Tanner and spending time together.
No tickets or additional steps are required to participate. Organizers note that there are no ticket sales associated with the event and no fundraising solicitations outside of the family’s official GoFundMe page.
Community members are encouraged to come out, show their support, and help make a meaningful difference for a local family in need.
Fightin Phils Announce Two
Drone Shows for 2026 Season

The Reading Fightin Phils will light up the sky twice during the 2026 season with two drone shows at America’s Classic Ballpark.
The team announced that fans can look forward to high-tech aerial displays on June 13 and again on August 29. The coordinated drone light shows are expected to deliver colorful, animated spectacles above the stadium, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the game-day experience.
Tickets for both dates are now available, and fans are encouraged to secure seats early for what promises to be two of the season’s most visually exciting nights at the ballpark.
Measles Case Confirmed in Limerick Township

A confirmed case of measles has been reported in Limerick Township, marking the first case in Montgomery County in 2026, according to the county’s Department of Health and Human Services.
Health officials said the infected individual visited multiple public locations after contracting the virus, potentially exposing others. It remains unclear how many people may have come into contact with the contagious person.
The individual was present at Nissan 422 of Limerick, located at 55 Autopark Boulevard, on Feb. 16 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Feb. 18 from 8:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. They also visited the Wawa at 579 N. Lewis Road on Feb. 16 and Feb. 18 between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., and on Feb. 19 between 11:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Anyone who was at those locations during the listed times is advised to monitor for symptoms. Health officials noted that the measles virus can remain in the air and on surfaces for up to two hours after an infected person leaves an area.
Officials are urging residents to review their vaccination status and ensure they are protected. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported a resurgence of measles nationwide, largely attributed to declining vaccination rates.
Measles is highly contagious, particularly among individuals who are not vaccinated. Health authorities say it is rare for vaccinated individuals to contract the disease, and when they do, symptoms are typically milder.
Common symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and distinctive white spots inside the mouth. The virus spreads primarily through coughing and sneezing.
The measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is widely available at healthcare providers’ offices and pharmacies.
Residents who develop symptoms are encouraged to contact their healthcare provider immediately. Healthcare professionals are required to report suspected cases to the Montgomery County Office of Public Health.
Team USA Tops Canada 2-1
for Historic Hockey Gold

The United States has captured its first Olympic gold medal in men’s hockey since the famed “Miracle on Ice” in 1980, defeating rival Canada 2-1 in overtime on Sunday.
Jack Hughes delivered the historic moment, scoring the game-winning goal just 1:41 into 3-on-3 overtime at the Milan Cortina Games. The tally capped a dramatic championship clash and secured Team USA’s third Olympic men’s hockey title.
Hughes’ overtime winner came after Zach Werenski forced a turnover and sent a cross-ice pass to the open forward, who buried the shot to ignite a jubilant on-ice celebration. Gloves and sticks flew as American players poured off the bench in a euphoric scene.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was instrumental in the victory, turning aside 41 shots to keep the Americans in the contest. His performance included several pivotal stops, including a critical paddle save in the third period and a breakaway denial earlier in the game. Teammates later described it as one of the most dominant goaltending efforts in U.S. hockey history.

The Americans showed resilience throughout the matchup. They successfully killed off a lengthy 5-on-3 power play in the second period and finished the tournament a perfect 18-for-18 on the penalty kill — a key factor in their championship run.
Matt Boldy opened the scoring six minutes into the first period, giving the U.S. an early edge. Canada answered late in the second when Cale Makar tied the game, setting up a tense, back-and-forth third period before Hughes’ heroics in overtime.
The victory was particularly meaningful given the rivalry and recent history between the two hockey powers. The U.S. had fallen to Canada in last year’s Four Nations title game and had not beaten its northern neighbor in a best-on-best tournament since the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.
Canada was without captain Sidney Crosby, who was sidelined by a lower-body injury sustained earlier in the tournament.
The gold medal game also carried emotional weight for the American team. During the postgame celebration, players honored the memory of former U.S. star Johnny Gaudreau, who was killed in 2024 alongside his brother in a bicycle accident involving an SUV. Teammates skated with his jersey following the medal ceremony and brought his children onto the ice for a team photo.
For Hellebuyck, the victory marked redemption after playoff struggles in the NHL the previous year. For Hughes and his teammates, it fulfilled a bold pre-tournament promise of “gold or bust.”
Nearly 46 years after one of the most iconic moments in Olympic history, Team USA once again stands atop the hockey world.
