Amity Township Declares Snow Emergency Ahead of Winter Storm

Amity Township officials have announced a Snow Emergency beginning at noon on February 22, 2026, as a winter storm is expected to bring accumulating snow and gusty winds to the area.
Township staff have been tracking weather forecasts throughout the week. While models vary on the precise local impact, officials anticipate a mix of winter weather that could make travel hazardous. The storm is projected to arrive in the early morning hours of February 22, intensify during the day, and taper off sometime Monday, February 23.
Residents are required to remove vehicles and any other items from roadways ahead of the storm to allow public works crews to properly plow and treat streets, including cul-de-sacs. The Snow Emergency will be enforced by the Amity Township Police Department, and vehicles left on the street may face fines or towing.
Officials are also urging residents to remain off the roads during the storm unless travel is necessary.
Township Public Works and Emergency Management teams say they are fully prepared and will continue monitoring conditions while responding to any weather-related issues.
Island Pizza Opening Early for
USA-Canada Gold Medal Game

Island Pizza will open early to welcome fans for the USA vs. Canada Olympic Gold Medal hockey game, with doors opening at 8 a.m. ahead of the 8:10 a.m. puck drop.
The restaurant is inviting the community to stop in and cheer on Team USA while enjoying a special, limited breakfast menu available for dine-in customers during the game.
Featured items on the USA Hockey Gold Medal Breakfast menu include a Breakfast Burger topped with a fried egg, pork roll, leaf lettuce, and Cooper Sharp cheese, as well as a Taylor Made Ribeye sandwich layered with chopped ribeye, fried egg, pork roll, and Cooper Sharp on a large roll.
Guests can also choose from several Breakfast Rice Bowl options. Selections include combinations of pork roll, bacon, chopped beef steak, ham, spinach, fresh vegetables, and a variety of cheeses, all paired with a fried egg. Prices range from $14 to $17.
Island Pizza encourages fans to arrive early, grab breakfast, and enjoy the championship matchup in a lively, game-day atmosphere.
Daniel Boone Athletes to Take the Field
at Baseballtown Event

The Daniel Boone Athletic Association is inviting players, coaches, and their families to enjoy a night at America’s Classic Ballpark on Saturday, April 11.
The group outing is scheduled for 5:15 p.m., offering athletes a special opportunity to take the field before the game. Approximately one hour prior to first pitch, players and coaches will be allowed onto the outfield for a chance to play catch. Additional details regarding timing and logistics will be shared closer to the event.
Association leaders say the evening is designed to bring teammates and families together for a memorable experience at Baseballtown.
Reading Coffee Company Hosting
Spring Candle-Making Workshop

Reading Coffee Company will host a hands-on candle-making workshop on March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at its Birdsboro café.
Participants will create four custom soy tea lights and an amber jar candle under the guidance of She Paints Co. The event is designed as a creative way to welcome the spring season, combining crafting with a relaxed café atmosphere.
Each attendee will also enjoy a specialty drink during the workshop, and the café’s wine shop will be open for additional purchases.
Space is limited, and organizers encourage guests to register in advance through the event’s online sign-up page.
