Exeter Police Investigating Deadly
Parking Lot Collision

A woman lost her life Monday afternoon after a pickup truck struck two pedestrians in the parking lot of Boscov’s in Exeter Township.
The collision occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the department store located at 4500 Perkiomen Avenue. Exeter Township Police responded to reports of a vehicle crash involving pedestrians in the shopping center lot.
Investigators determined that two adult women were crossing the parking lot when a pickup truck, turning into a travel lane directly in front of the store, hit them.
Both women were transported for medical treatment. One later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The condition of the second pedestrian has not been released.
Police reported that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Exeter Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities say the investigation remains active and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact the department at 610-779-1490.

He died peacefully at his Virginia home.
Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson dies at age 84

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, longtime civil rights leader and former presidential candidate, has died at 84. His family confirmed his passing, though a cause of death has not been released. Jackson was a key figure in the civil rights movement and founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
Boone Area Library Hosting Free
Bicycle Safety Program for Kids
The Boone Area Library will host a hands-on bicycle safety program on February 19 from 5 to 6 p.m., giving children an opportunity to learn essential riding skills and the rules of the road.
The interactive session is designed to help young riders build confidence while reinforcing safe biking habits. Participants will receive practical instruction focused on awareness, traffic safety, and proper riding techniques.
Free helmets and bike locks will be provided to registered participants while supplies last.
Families are encouraged to register in advance to take part in the program.
