Pottstown to Host First-Ever Greater Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival
SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook is teaming up with Gazzo’s Steaks to bring a brand-new food celebration to Pottstown and the Greater Philadelphia region: the inaugural Greater Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival. Slated for Sunday, April 26, 2026, the event aims to spotlight one of the area’s most iconic foods while creating a family-friendly festival atmosphere packed with classic Philly flavor.
The six-hour festival will feature some of the Delaware Valley’s most well-known cheesesteak vendors, along with other local favorites offering donuts, water ice, soft pretzels, and more. Live music and a full bar will add to the day-long celebration, which organizers describe as a pure tribute to cheesesteaks rather than a competition.
Each $40 ticket includes festival entry and five sample tickets, which can be redeemed for bite-sized cheesesteak samples from participating vendors. Additional food and beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, will be available for purchase throughout the day. Parking at the venue will be free.
The event will take place at SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook, located at 50 SunnyBrook Road in Pottstown. Gates open at noon, with festivities running until 6 p.m. Vendor setup begins at 9 a.m., and the festival will be held rain or shine.
Organizers are currently accepting applications from cheesesteak vendors interested in participating. Vendors must provide their own tents or food trucks, equipment, and generators if electricity is needed. Approved vendors will be required to provide double bite-size samples per ticket and may sell items from their menus independently. Space is limited, and participation is determined through an application review process rather than first-come registration.
Glick’s Greenhouse Debuts Pop-Up Café
for Valentine’s Event

Glick’s Greenhouse is adding a cozy new feature to its annual Valentine’s Event with the debut of a Pop-Up Café, giving visitors a chance to enjoy fresh coffee and warm drinks while surrounded by greenery. The café is new this year and is designed to enhance the relaxed, seasonal experience of the greenhouse’s Valentine celebrations.

Guests will be able to choose from a variety of hot and iced beverages, including lattes, iced coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and more. Two specialty Valentine-themed lattes will be available exclusively for the event: the Cupid’s Jewel, a strawberry and chocolate latte, and the Sweetheart, a raspberry and white chocolate mocha latte. Organizers say the pairing of plants and coffee creates the perfect atmosphere for a winter outing.

The Pop-Up Café will be open during the Valentine Planting Party, which takes place:
Thursday, February 12 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
Friday, February 13 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday, February 14 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
Daniel Boone Area School District Announces Scholarships for Class of 2026

The Daniel Boone Area School District is encouraging members of the Class of 2026 to take advantage of more than 50 scholarship opportunities now available through the district’s Guidance Office. The scholarships are intended to help graduating seniors offset post-secondary education costs and support a wide range of academic and career paths.
All available scholarships can be accessed through Naviance, where students can review eligibility requirements, deadlines, and application details. District officials note that the opportunities span multiple interests and future plans, including college, technical training, and other educational pursuits.
Students who need assistance are encouraged to meet with their school counselor. Counselors are available to help seniors navigate the application process, track deadlines, and determine which scholarships best fit their goals.
The district reminds families that scholarships provide valuable financial support and urges seniors not to miss the opportunity to apply for funding that can help shape their future beyond graduation.
Bold and Messy: The Mistake Burger
Taking Over Annamarie’s

Annamarie’s is turning heads with a bold menu item that proves some of the best creations come from thinking outside the box. Known as the “Mistake Burger,” this over-the-top sandwich is anything but accidental.
The burger stacks a juicy beef patty with BBQ pulled pork and creamy mac and cheese, creating a rich, messy combination that delivers big flavor in every bite. What might sound unconventional comes together as a carefully balanced comfort-food masterpiece, blending smoky, savory, and cheesy elements into one indulgent dish.
Regulars say the Mistake Burger perfectly reflects what Annamarie’s does best—serving unapologetically bold food that’s made to be enjoyed without restraint. It’s a must-try for burger lovers looking for something unforgettable.
