Daniel Boone Golfer Chase Yenser Earns
2025 Penta Memorial Award for
Sportsmanship and Character

Chase Yenser has been honored with the 2025 Penta Memorial Award, a distinction given to a Berks County golfer who exemplifies sportsmanship, citizenship, and friendship. The award is determined by votes from Berks County golf coaches, underscoring the respect Chase has earned throughout the local golf community for his conduct both on and off the course.
With this achievement, Chase adds to a longstanding tradition at Daniel Boone. He follows in the footsteps of previous Boone recipients, including his brother Colton Yenser, who received the award in 2020, and Bret Stamy, honored in 1999.
The presentation featured Coach Ian West, Chase Yenser, Penta Memorial Award representative Dick Close, and Principal Sborz, marking a proud moment for the school and community.

Seahawks’ Dominant Defense Powers
29–13 Super Bowl Win Over Patriots

The Seattle Seahawks captured their second Super Bowl title with a decisive 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday in Santa Clara, powered by a dominant defensive performance. Seattle’s “Dark Side” defense overwhelmed Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, recording six sacks, forcing key turnovers, and scoring a decisive interception return for a touchdown.
Kenneth Walker III led the offense with 135 rushing yards and earned Super Bowl MVP honors, becoming the first running back to win the award since 1998. Sam Darnold added a touchdown pass and avoided turnovers, while kicker Jason Myers made Super Bowl history by converting all five of his field-goal attempts.
Seattle built a commanding 19–0 lead before New England found the end zone. Any comeback hopes were short-lived, as the Seahawks’ defense continued to apply pressure and sealed the win late.
The victory capped a 17–3 season for Seattle and denied the Patriots a chance at a record seventh Super Bowl championship.
